Relocated from New York to Santa Rosa, California, Melissa has owned a freelance calligraphy business since 1988, doing everything from wedding invitations to commercial lettering. Her work has been in various juried exhibits, as well as several books including, Greeting Card Design, The Speedball Textbook, American Corporate Identity, Letterheads Gone Digital, and The Artful Letter Engagement Calendar. Melissa was president of the The Island Scribes calligraphy guild in New York for five years, and the Friends of Calligraphy guild in San Francisco for two. She enjoys teaching children and adults, both privately and in workshops and classes. |
